In order to participate to the annual international Buy Nothing Day which in Finland takes place 28th of November, I've decided to strech the day to last the whole month. Because this task is extremely challenging for me - the shopaholic - I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms already. Therefore, I must stay out of stores and restrain my internet surfing so that I don't accidentaly get into interesting online shops.
Besides attending to Buy Nothing Day is a statement for the environment and effusive consumerism I'm also motivated by some selfish reasons. I've made some expensive purchases recently that outreached my unemployment budget quite briskly which led to a small personal economic catastrophe. So this is also a good way to compensate the situation. Here is one pair of the purchases that cost a fortune but are worth of every single penny:)
I knew that my prayers for all-year-around Converse shoes had
been heard when I went to see Nelly's shoe novelties and found these white leather beauty's. These are from the Converse 2008 collection and are designed for colder weather conditions as they are equipped with warm lining and leather coating. I also love the cute little detail that the Converse logo has been placed in the inner side of the shoes. Is that just Perfect or what?!Well, I guess that I slipped a little sideways from the original topic which was the Buy Nothing Day. For more information check out at least http://www.alaosta.fi/ (finnish pages) and

How many of you readers are attending the Buy Nothing Day? Here, now I have officially challenged other bloggers (especially fashion bloggers) to participate;)!
